Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: Why is PC TuneUp Tools so cheap to
buy?
A: As this software is developed by ourselves,
there aren't any shareholders to please, so the
savings can be passed directly on to you "the
consumer".
Q: How long can I receive product
updates and support?
A: When purchased you can receive updates and
support for 12 months after
you recieve your product code.
This can be renewed every year with a discount
which we will send to you before it runs out.
Q: Can I fix the Registry myself?
A: In most cases, no. It is certainly possible
to make changes to the registry, however unless
you know exactly what you're doing you risk
damage to your operating system. If you make a
change to the wrong file you could cause your PC
to stop working completely. Windows might not
load at all, and programs might not start up.
Only the very best computer technicians are
qualified to repair the registry manually.
Q: What is the Windows Registry anyway?
A: The Windows registry is like a filing cabinet
where settings and configurations for programs,
hardware, and user data are stored. If that
filing cabinet becomes disorganized, Windows has
a hard time running correctly.
Q: Can I install the software on more
than one computer?
A: Yes, this software can be installed on up to
3 PC's.
Q: I have locked my PC with Desktop
Lock, What is the password?
A: The default password is guest.
Q: What errors does
PC TuneUp Tools Registry Cleaner 8 scan for?
A: To see what Registry Cleaner 8 looks for in

Q: Why do I have the
same errors on my computer after several scans?
A: Some programs
unfortunately recreate the same invalid entries
that were removed in the first scan and PC
TuneUp Tools will therefore find them again in
your system. There is
no need to be worried though as just a small
number of errors may reappear after being
removed by PC TuneUp Tools. To get a rid of the
errors you will need to find the program that is
recreating them. You can also contact our
support for advise and we can determine if these
are valid and we can assist to help remove these
errors.
